The Big Help Project launched its’ first retail enterprise in August, with the opening of the BIG Help Project Community Shop in Huyton.
Mayor of Knowsley Cllr Edna Finneran joined Big Help Project CEO Barry Cooper and Executive Chairperson Cllr Peter Mitchell, to open the new shop in Huyton Shopping Centre.
Barry Cooper said; “we are delighted and proud to have opened our first shop in the heart of the community we serve. The funds raised here will directly benefit some of the most vulnerable people in Knowsley, and will raise awareness of The Big Help Project and the services we offer.”
The shop sells a range of adults and children’s clothes, as well as books, toys and bric-a-brac, and is also a drop-off point for donations for Knowsley Foodbank. Opening hours are 09:30-5:00 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
